Our Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service (ICAFS) in the Hutt Valley are looking for an enthusiastic Mental Health Professional (NZ registered Psychologist, Social Worker or Nurse) with experience working in child and adolescent mental health. This role will be based in our energetic multidisciplinary Kaiārahi team working with 0 - 18-year olds and their families/whanau. The Kaiārahi team has about 20 multidisciplinary mental health professionals and is the ‘partnership team’ for ICAFS, providing individual, whanau, and group treatments and extended assessments following referral and initial assessment. 

The role is 36 hours per week.

You will:

  • Form an integral part of the ICAFS team and be expected to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members to ensure appropriate and evidence based care is provided for these children and young people. 
  • Have excellent clinical and case management skills and be comfortable managing risk. 
  • You will be able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the DHB, the wider mental health services, and community agencies.

The DHB will fund professional registration fees and the 3DMHAIDs has policies to support staff access to professional development and training
